Jared Hollander is a proud Massena native who returned home in 2017 after living in Vermont and Pennsylvania and serving in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. A graduate of Massena Central High School, Jared went on to attend SUNY Potsdam, where he studied Community Health, Nutrition, and Fitness. He is deeply connected to the community through both his personal roots and his professional work.
Jared is a former competitive bodybuilder and certified personal trainer, now working as a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®). In addition, he is a licensed insurance agent providing personal, commercial, and life insurance, and he owns and operates a home inspection business. His diverse career experience has strengthened his ability to listen, problem-solve, and make decisions that balance the needs of individuals with the long-term good of the community.
Jared and his wife, also a Massena native, live in the village with their English Bulldog and young daughter. As a registered Independent and new father, Jared is deeply invested in creating a strong future for Massena — one with a thriving local economy, opportunities that keep young families here, and a community that honors its traditions while embracing positive change.
He believes public service is about listening, working together, and making practical, well-informed decisions that improve daily life for residents. Drawing on his leadership experience, financial expertise, and commitment to Massena’s future, Jared is ready to work hard to ensure the village remains a place where families want to live, work, and raise their children. In his free time, Jared enjoys playing hockey and golf.
